SeaWorld’s image problem

-

Re “Saving whales and its image,” Business, June 6

The people running SeaWorld Entertainment Inc. are delusional if they think they will ever be able to repair the damage to their company’s tarnished image, no matter how much money they throw at the problem.

A shift in consciousness is occurring as the public realizes that the act of confining orcas to a pool is inherently cruel and no pool will ever be big enough for a whale. SeaWorld should stop holding whales in captivity, end its breeding programs and convert to a non-animal theme park if it wants to survive.
