Taco ven­dor is fa­tally shot

Homi­cide de­tec­tives are seek­ing three sus­pects in the shoot­ing death late Fri­day of a South Los An­ge­les taco ven­dor.

The shoot­ing oc­curred at 10: 50 p. m. when one of three men who ap­proached the ven­dor on foot shot him in the face dur­ing a pos­si­ble rob­bery at­tempt, Of­fi­cer Lil­iana Pre­ci­ado said Sun­day.

The 29- year- old man was pro­nounced dead at the scene, the in­ter­sec­tion of East 51st Street and McKinley Av­enue, she said.

A spokesman for the L. A. County coro­ner’s of­fice said Sun­day that the vic­tim’s name was be­ing with­held pend­ing no­ti­fi­ca­tion of his fam­ily in Mexico.

No ar­rests had been made. The sus­pects were last seen in a red ve­hi­cle near the taco stand.
