Huskies QB retires
Washington quarterback Cyler Miles retired from college football because of a chronic hip injury. Miles was suspended for the season opener last year but started 12 games, throwing for 2,397 yards and 17 touchdowns and with four interceptions.
Mark Coyle, athletic director at Boise State since December 2011, was introduced as the new athletic director at Syracuse. He will replace interim AD Pete Sala, who took over for Daryl Gross in March. Gross, a former senior associate AD at USC, stepped down after the NCAA f inished an eight- year investigation into the basketball and football programs.
