KEY MO­MENT: With two on and two outs in the sec­ond in­ning, Astros rookie short­stop Car­los Cor­rea drove a full- count pitch from C. J. Wil­son to deep left field for a three- run homer — his fourth in 15 games this sea­son — and a 4- 0 lead, set­ting the tone on a night Hous­ton racked up 16 hits, seven for ex­tra bases.

AT THE PLATE: Cor­rea had a sin­gle, homer and dou­ble through four in­nings but was hit­less in three more at- bats, fall­ing short of a cy­cle. Astros third base­man Luis Val­buena sin­gled and home­red twice, a solo shot to right- cen­ter in the fourth and a two- run shot to right in the fifth, giv­ing him 19 homers — and a .195 av­er­age — this sea­son. For­mer An­gels catcher Hank Con­ger had three hits. Efren Navarro had three hits, in­clud­ing a two- run sin­gle in the fourth, for the An­gels.

ON THE MOUND: Wil­son, who al­lowed one run, struck out 17 and walked three in 15 in­nings of two pre­vi­ous starts, had his worst and short­est out­ing of the sea­son, giv­ing up seven runs and eight hits, in­clud­ing two homers, in 31⁄ in­nings,

3 with three strike­outs, two walks, a hit bat­ter, wild pitch and a balk. Astros right- han­der Collin McHugh gave up two runs and nine hits in eight in­nings, strik­ing out six and walk­ing one to im­prove to 8- 3 with a 4.80 earned- run av­er­age.

RE­HAB RE­PORT: Re­liever Mike Morin ( left rib- cage strain) al­lowed one hit and struck out one in an in­ning of an Ari­zona Sum­mer League game Mon­day. He will join triple- A Salt Lake on Wed­nes­day. … Right- han­der Nick Tro­peano, out since May 26 be­cause of a sore shoul­der, will re­turn to the Salt Lake ro­ta­tion Fri­day.
