GOP can­di­dates: An ar­ti­cle in the June 28 Sec­tion A about the wide f ield of Repub­li­can pres­i­den­tial can­di­dates re­ferred to Ohio Gov. John Ka­sich’s sup­port for ex­pand­ing Medi­care un­der the Af­ford­able Care Act. It should have said Med­i­caid.

“Soap”: An ar­ti­cle in the June 28 Sec­tion A about movie and TV por­tray­als of gays and les­bians said that Jodie Dal­las, Billy Crys­tal’s char­ac­ter on the 1970s TV com­edy “Soap,” was a gay man who “re­versed him­self ” and be­came straight. In fact, while Jodie had a sex­ual re- la­tion­ship with a woman and fa­thered a child, he iden­ti­fied as gay through­out the se­ries.
