Two suicide bombings rocked Chad’s capital, N’Djamena, leaving at least 11 people dead weeks after suicide bombings killed dozens, an official said.
Five police officers were among the dead, said Public Security Minister Abderahim Bireme Hamid.
The other six killed were extremists, he said.
The f irst explosion was heard in N’Djamena’s Dinguessou neighborhood and the second came minutes later, said resident Souleymane Brahim.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack, but suspicion fell on Boko Haram, the Islamist militant group based in neighboring Nigeria.
