‘Establishment hacks’ cost elections, Ellis says

Los Angeles Times - - ESSENTIAL POLITICS - —Phil Willon

Kimberly Ellis, who challenged the results of the state Democratic Party leadership election she lost, blamed party “establishment hacks” for losses in congressional races in Georgia and South Carolina on Tuesday.

The progressive Bay Area Democrat tweeted it’s “time for a new coalition.” She blamed her May loss to Eric Bauman on voting irregularities and wants an independent audit of the election. Bauman rejected the request; the election is being reviewed by a party panel.
