A day af­ter the U.S. won its group in the CONCACAF Gold Cup soc­cer tour­na­ment, coach Bruce Arena made six changes to his 23-man ros­ter ahead of Wed­nes­day’s quar­ter­fi­nal game in Philadel­phia against El Sal­vador.

Goal­keep­ers Tim Howard and Jesse Gon­za­lez, mid­field­ers Michael Bradley and Dar­ling­ton Nagbe, and for­wards Jozy Alti­dore and Clint Dempsey join the ros­ter. Gone are goal­keep­ers Brad Guzan and Sean John­son; mid­field­ers Ale­jan­dro Be­doya, Cris­tian Roldan and Ke­lyn Rowe; and for­ward Dom Dwyer.

Group play ended Sunday night as Mex­ico beat Cu­ra­cao 2-0 in San An­to­nio to win Group C. Ja­maica beat El Sal­vador 1-0 in Sunday’s ear­lier match, but both ad­vanced based on match points.

The U.S.- El Sal­vador game will fol­low Wed­nes­day’s opener in Philadel­phia, Costa Rica ver­sus Panama. On Thurs­day at Glen­dale, Ariz., Mex­ico faces Hon­duras and Ja­maica plays Canada. The Philadel­phia win­ners meet Satur­day at Ar­ling­ton, Texas, and the Ari­zona win­ners play Sunday at the Rose Bowl.

The fi­nal is July 26 at Santa Clara.
