Lu­croy is dealt to the Rockies

Catcher Jonathan Lu­croy was ac­quired Sun­day by the Colorado Rockies from the Texas Rangers for a player to be named.

Lu­croy, 31, is bat­ting .242 with four home runs and 27 RBIs. He made 65 starts at catcher.

The Rangers got Lu­croy on Aug. 1, 2016, from Mil­wau­kee, where he was a two-time All-Star.

Roy­als get Cabr­era

Out­fielder Melky Cabr­era was ac­quired by the Kansas City Roy­als from the Chicago White Sox in ex­change for two mi­nor league pitch­ers.

Cabr­era, 32, is bat­ting .288 with 13 homers and 56 RBIs. He played with the Roy­als in 2011.

Yan­kees ac­quire Gar­cia

Left-han­der Jaime Gar­cia was ac­quired by the New York Yan­kees from the Min­nesota Twins for two mi­nor league pitch­ers.

Gar­cia, 31, is 5-7 with a 4.29 ERA in 19 starts. He was ac­quired by the Twins from the At­lanta Braves on July 24 and made only one start for Min­nesota.

Tu­low­itzki is in­jured

Short­stop Troy Tu­low­itzki of the Toronto Blue Jays will see a spe­cial­ist af­ter be­ing di­ag­nosed with liga­ment dam­age in his right an­kle.

Tu­low­itzki was in­jured try­ing to beat out an in­field grounder Fri­day against the An­gels.

He is bat­ting .247 with seven home runs and 26 RBIs.
