▶GIL’S ASH WED­NES­DAY FISH FRY: The Man­te­caRipon Pen­te­cost So­ci­ety is stag­ing Gil’s Fish Fry Din­ner on Ash Wed­nes­day, Feb. 14, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the MRPS Hall, 133 N. Grant St. You can dine in or drive thru. The cost is $15 for adults and $10 for chil­dren 12 and un­der. The din­ner is be­ing pre­pared by Fa­gun­des Meats. ▶RIPON LIVE­STOCK BOOSTER CLUB MEET­ING: The Ripon Live­stock Booster Club will be hav­ing their first meet­ing of the year on Thurs­day, Feb. 15, at 6:30 p.m., at Round Table Pizza in Ripon. Top­ics to be dis­cussed will be the San Joaquin County Ag Fest 2018, Schol­ar­ships, Pre­mium Awards and In­cen­tives given to Ripon Ag Fest ex­hibitors, An­nual Ap­pre­ci­a­tion Din­ner, and “Top Five for Drive”. Par­ents in the Ripon Com­mu­nity that have chil­dren ex­hibit­ing at Ag Fest are en­cour­aged to at­tend and pro­vide in­put. ▶AP­PRE­CI­A­TION LUN­CHEON FOR SIS­TER ANN: The Young Ladies In­sti­tute will host an ap­pre­ci­a­tion lunch for Sis­ter Ann Britto on Satur­day, Feb. 17, at 1230 p.m. in the St, An­thony’s gym. MON­DAY, FEB. 19

▶MAN­TECA GAR­DEN CLUB: The monthly meet­ing of the Man­teca Gar­den Club is Mon­day, Feb. 19, at the Man­teca Pub­lic Li­brary 320 W. Cen­ter St. Re­fresh­ments are at 12:30 p.m. with the speaker at 1 p.m. The speaker is Tom Pow­ell who serves as the Spe­cial Project Co­or­di­na­tor, Man­teca Gar­den Club. Pow­ell will give up­dates on school gar­dens and city beau­ti­fi­ca­tion projects planned for this year. He will pro­vide an up­dates on this year’s fi­nan­cial sta­tus and the planned pro­grams that are sup­ported. If you are in­ter­ested in more in­for­ma­tion about the Gar­den Clubs ac­tiv­i­ties you are in­vited to join them at the Feb. 19 meet­ing.

▶RIPON SE­NIOR CEN­TER STAR GAZ­ING: Star Gaz­ing our Galaxy is be­ing pre­sented by Ripon Se­nior Cen­ter on Thurs­day, Feb 22 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. It in­cludes free tele­scope view­ing and a sci­ence pre­sen­ta­tion by Fred Yerzy. Bring a lawn chair and join oth­ers at the park­ing lot at 433 S Wilma. All ages are wel­come although chil­dren must be ac­com­pa­nied by an adult. Your evening will be more en­joy­able if you also bring warm cloth­ing, hat, gloves, flash­light, lap blan­ket, snacks and binoc­u­lar. The event is weather per­mit­ting. Call 24 hours prior.
