Man­teca Buffs col­lar Bull­dogs

Tracy scored first Fri­day night but the Bull­dogs were not ahead for long as Man­teca bounced b a ck quickly but needed two fourth-quar­ter touch­downs to pull away for a 48-27 non-league ju­nior var­sity win at Guss Sch­miedt Field.

Krys Charles (4 of 7 pass­ing, 141 yards) had a pair of touch­down passes with to Ale­jan­dro Tornero with one of 69 yards and another of 23 yards. Vic­tor Martinez (11 car­ries, 101 yards) had a 21-yard touch­down run, Ai­dan Ni­co­las (10 car­ries, 63 yards; two re­cep­tions, 49 yards) scored on a

2-yard run and Calvin Ram­sey added a 12-yard touch­down run. Javier Flores got the other Buf­faloes score when he re­cov­ered a Bull­dogs fum­ble in their end zone set with a strip by Javier Flores.

David Vega was in on six tack­les for Man­teca.

East Union 14, Van­den of Fair­field 12 The Lancers de­fense rose to the oc­ca­sion help­ing neu­tral­ize three lost East Union fum­bles at Dino Cu­nial Field.

East Union got both of its touch­downs in the first quar­ter on a 7-yard scor­ing run by Lane Ce­falu and a 45-yard touch­down pass from Je­sus Gomez (2 of 4 pass­ing, 58 yards) to Car­los Al­varez. Jonathan Cas­taneda chipped in 32 yards on seven car­ries.

Ce­falu (in­ter­cep­tion) and Nevin Gon­za­lez each had six tack­les and Car­los Al­varez (fum­ble re­cov­ery) added four stops.

Sierra 21, Lathrop 7 Daniel Co­var­ru­bias tal­lied 106 yards on eight car­ries for the Tim­ber­wolves at Ben­nie Gatto Field.

Sierra’s Adrian Ochoa (10 car­ries 40 yards) and Se­bas­tian Davis (five car­ries, 20 yards) each added a touch­down.

The Tim­ber­wolves de­fense held the Spar­tans to 80 yards of of­fense be­hind four sacks and two forced fum­bles. Ja­cob Martinez led Sierra with six tack­les, Ay­dan Horn (forced fum­ble) added five stops and Lorenzo Reyes had four stops and a 25-yard fum­ble re­cov­ery. Co­var­ru­bias, Chris­tian Thead­g­ill and Adrain Ochoa each had a sack. We­ston Ranch 38, Buhach Colony of At­wa­ter 36 AT­WA­TER – Ro­ge­lio Ru­val­cava spot­ted Fidel Pits with a touch­down pass with 10 sec­onds re­main­ing in the game to se­cure the win for the Cougars at Fal­con Sta­dium.

Aaron James (174 yards rushing) had three touch­downs for We­ston Ranch and Nacho Gon­za­lez (84 yards rushing) added one touch­down.

Calav­eras of San An­dreas 22, Ripon 7 Calav­eras re­turned an in­ter­cep­tion 30 yards for a touch­down with 1:30 left in the game to cap a 15-point fourth quar­ter at Stouf­fer Field.

Korey Budde scored on a 3-yard run in the sec­ond quar­ter to give the In­di­ans a 7-0 lead.
