Lowe’s treats OSH workers unfairly
Editor, Manteca Bulletin, This is a copy of a letter I sent to Lowe’s. I cannot believe that a large corporation can get away with their treatment of Orchard Supply Hardware employees.
Please send your own letter as it is unfair treatment of these people. Lowes 1605 Curtis Bridge Rd Wilkesboro NC 28697 To your board of directors and decision makers of your company:
I am writing about the unfair treatment of the Orchard Supply Hardware employees that are not being given a fair chance in the employment world because of your decision to close all of these stores.
I understand that you are not providing any employment (a minimal openings of less than 7 openings in your existing Lowe’s stores) in cities that would only add excessive costs to drive to work, and you are not providing any employment training or opportunities in employment agencies to go into to the existing competitive system. Really?
I know that several of your employees that have worked for OSH for over 20 years are in this same location. Wow.
Do you treat your existing employees the same way at Lowe’s?
Certainly, there are ways that you could and should be more supportive to these employees of OSH that need to work to pay their bills. Marlene Figone Manteca
