MIXING IT INTO A DRINK
Cranberry Manhattan ( below, left) Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add 2 ounces rye whiskey, 2 tablespoons cranberry sauce, 1 ounce sweet vermouth, and a few dashes of Angostura bitters. Cover; shake vigorously for 15 seconds. Strain into a glass with ice and serve. Cranberry Paloma Run a grapefruit wedge around the rim of a highball glass; dip rim in
margarita salt. Fill glass with ice. Add 2 ounces
tequila or mezcal and 2 tablespoons cranberry sauce, then top with 2 ounces grapefruit soda (such as San Pellegrino Pompelmo). Stir once, garnish with grapefruit wedge, and serve.
