Man arrested after alleged assault, car chase
Traveled up to 120 MPH during 15-mile pursuit
A White Plains man was arrested last Wednesday and is being held without bond after allegedly break- ing into a home in Waldorf, attacking a woman with a screwdriver, and leading officers on a 15-mile, highspeed chase that caused two citizens to crash during the pursuit, according to court records.
After colliding with a tree, Trayvon Donfin Richardson, 29, reportedly locked the doors to the car, forcing officers to break a window in order to apprehend him.
On the evening of March 23, deputies of the Charles County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the 2600 block of Oakley Drive for a reported assault in progress.
“Upon my arrival I was met by a female running towards me who had an excessive amount of blood coming from her face,” Officer M. Nauman wrote in his report.
Seeing her injuries, Nauman called for EMS support and gathered information about the incident to relay to other officers.
