Potomac River health is at an all-time high
Conservancy gives ‘B-’ grade
The Potomac Conservancy released its “State of the Nation’s River” report on Wednesday and, according to their standards, the Potomac River is healthier than it has ever been.
In the report, the river’s health grade was upgraded to a B- from a C in 2013 and a D in 2011.
Hedrick Belin, the president of the Potomac Conservancy, said the progress made on the river is “tremendous” and the goal of making it a swimmable, fishable river by 2025 can be attained.
