St. Ignatius Church will hold a wine tasting fundraiser 5-8 p.m. April 9 at the church hall, 6455 Port Tobacco Road, Hilltop. Cost is $25 for five tastings and a side dish; $10 for a side dish, dessert and punch. All tickets must be purchased in advance. No one under the age of 21 is permitted to attend. First Baptist Church of La Plata will host guest speaker Neal Surasky at the 11 a.m. worship service April 10 at the church, 9070 Hawthorne Road, La Plata.
