Ed­ward David Adams Sr.

Ed­ward David Adams Sr. “Horse”, 77, of Fort Wash­ing­ton, MD (for­merly of Mal­colm, MD), passed away at his res­i­dence af­ter a lengthy battle with can­cer. Ed­ward was a grad­u­ate of the Class of 1957 at Pomon­key High School.

He was the lov­ing fa­ther of Se­b­rina Chase, Ed­ward Adams Jr., Yolanda Adams, Belinda Jack­son, Ton­de­laya (Jonathan) Swin­son and Bryan Adams; dear brother of John Adams, Fran­cis Adams, Margie Posey, Clara Mae Thomas and Alice Wa­ters.

Friends may visit with the fam­ily on Wed­nes­day, April 13, from 9:30 a.m. un­til time of ser­vice at 11 a.m. at Briscoe-Tonic Fu­neral Home, 38576 Brett Way, Me­chan­icsville, MD. In­ter­ment will fol­low at Lin­coln Ceme­tery in Suit­land, MD.

Dou­glas Duane Al­ford

Dou­glas Duane Al­ford of Char­lotte Hall, MD, for­merly of In­dian Head, died on April 2, 2016 at the Char­lotte Hall Vet­er­ans Home in Char­lotte Hall. He was 73 years old.

Born on May 10, 1942 in Wash­ing­ton, DC, son of the late Dorothy B. and the late Johnny A. Al­ford. Mr. Al­ford served in the U.S. Air Force un­til he was Hon­orary Dis­charged in 1965. He then worked with the In­for­ma­tion Tech­nol­ogy at the G.S.A. He en­joyed pho­tog­ra­phy, fish­ing, play­ing golf, and be­ing with his fam­ily, es­pe­cially at the Sun­day din­ners.

In ad­di­tion to his par­ents, Mr. Al­ford was pre­ceded in death by his sis­ter Brenda A. Mills.

He is sur­vived by his niece De­bra J. Burch and her hus­band Johnny; neph­ews Ellsworth “Skip” Mills III and Daniel O. Mills; brother-in-law Ellsworth Mills; great niece Sarah Lowery and her hus­band Justin; great neph­ews Keith and Chad Burch, Luke and Carter Mills; great great nephew Jay­den Lowery. Larry D. Hicks

Larry D. Hicks was born Novem­ber 6, 1955. He de­parted his earthly home for his eternal rest­ing place on Fri­day, April 1, 2016. Larry af­fec­tion­ately know as “Tick” to all his friends and fam­ily. Larry leaves his Mother Doris E. Hicks and his brothers and sis­ter, Joseph, Gary, Al­fred, and Thomas Hicks, also his sis­ter Sheila War­ren. He also leaves his aunts Geral­dine and Cather­ine and his un­cle Wil­liam Hicks with a host of cousins, nieces, and neph­ews.
