Po­lice in­ves­ti­gate strong arm rob­bery

On April 1 at ap­prox­i­mately 6:15 a.m., a woman was walk­ing her dog in the area of St. Patrick’s Drive at High­gate Place in Wal­dorf when a man wear­ing all black cloth­ing ap­proached her and grabbed her cell phone and keys from her hand. The sus­pect fled into the woods. Of­fi­cer K. Collins is in­ves­ti­gat­ing.

Win­dows shat­tered at Wal­dorf busi­ness

On April 1 at ap­prox­i­mately 6:55 a.m., em­ploy­ees ar­rived at a busi­ness in the 100 block of St. Patrick’s Drive in Wal­dorf and saw some­one leav­ing the park­ing lot with a shat­tered win­dow. An in­ves­ti­ga­tion re­vealed that at ap­prox­i­mately 3:52 a.m., the sus­pect ar­rived at the busi­ness and kicked open five lower bay win­dows at the front of the build­ing. He then smashed the pas­sen­ger-side win­dow of a pickup truck that was parked in the park­ing lot and en­tered the ve­hi­cle, only leav­ing the area when the em­ploy­ees ar­rived just be­fore 7 a.m. Pfc. E. Baker is in­ves­ti­gat­ing.

On April 1 at ap­prox­i­mately 2:06 p.m., of­fi­cers re­sponded to the area of Small­wood Drive at Bar­ring­ton Drive in Wal­dorf for the re­port of a pedes­trian hit-and-run. Upon ar­rival, of­fi­cers lo­cated the vic­tim, a 72-year-old male from Wal­dorf, who was flown to a hos­pi­tal with se­ri­ous in­juries.

Some­time be­tween 11 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on April 3, some­one re­moved locks from sev­eral lock­ers in the locker rooms at a fit­ness cen­ter lo­cated in the 2900 block of Fes­ti­val Way in Wal­dorf.

Two vic­tims had items stolen from their lock­ers while two other vic­tims had their items tam­pered with. Of­fi­cer C. Cham­blee is in­ves­ti­gat­ing.
