The fol­low­ing items were com­piled from re­ports from the Charles County Sher­iff’s Of­fice and Mary­land Nat­u­ral Re­sources Po­lice.

Items stolen from cars in Wal­dorf

Dur­ing the overnight hours of April 23 into April 24, some­one stole items from cars in the ar­eas of Bel Al­ton, New­burg, and Cobb Is­land. None of the ve­hi­cles sus­tained any dam­age, and all were un­locked at the time of the in­ci­dent. Items stolen range from note­books, driver’s li­censes, credit cards, flash­lights, and money. De­tec­tives are work­ing on leads. Of­fi­cer J. Ryan is in­ves­ti­gat­ing.

Between April 25 and April 26, some­one broke into a car in the 11600 block of Marston Moor Lane in Wal­dorf and stole an Ap­ple iPod Mini, an iPad, aux­il­iary cords, and an in-dash CD player/nav­i­ga­tion sys­tem. Of­fi­cer R. Pick­eral is in­ves­ti­gat­ing.

Man ar­rested for as­sault, drugs

On April 24 at 12:16 a.m., of­fi­cers re­sponded to the area of Cir­cle Av­enue in In­dian Head for a do­mes­tic-re­lated as­sault. In­ves­ti­ga­tion showed a man re­peat­edly struck a fe­male res­i­dent caus­ing nu­mer­ous fa­cial in­juries. The man fled the house prior to po­lice ar­rival, but of­fi­cers found him hid­ing in a shed in the back­yard. Of­fi­cers also lo­cated 115 grams of mar­i­juana in the house. The sus­pect, 35, was ar­rested and charged with as­sault and pos­ses­sion of a con­trolled dan­ger­ous sub­stance with the in­tent to dis­trib­ute. Cpl. J. Rager in­ves­ti­gated.
