Thanks to ‘Good Samaritan’
Today was my day off and I had to drive my son’s truck up to the mechanic to be checked out for an ignition problem. On the way to the mechanic, the truck stalled at the intersection of Vivian Adams Drive and Route 5 in Waldorf during the late-morning rush hour.
With failed attempts at restarting the truck, a gentleman behind me left his Ford Crossover vehicle to assist me. He angled his car like police officers do at a traffic stop and he also put safety lights on top of his car. Although he was dressed in nice work clothes, he offered to push my truck off the road and into a nearby parking lot. The gentleman then rushed back to get his car and I assumed he headed to work.
I was only able to obtain his last name before he left. I would like to thank you Mr. Gregory for assisting me, by safely alerting the oncoming traffic to my stalled truck and pushing my vehicle to a safe area. Your effort and good deed does not go unnoticed.
I thank God for this “Good Samaritan” and pray his example will spur others to “do to others as you would have them do to you.”
