La Plata ac­count­ing firm re­ceives Women’s Business cer­ti­fi­ca­tion

Pe­sante Nor­ris, a La Plata ac­count­ing firm, has re­ceived na­tional cer­ti­fi­ca­tion as a Women’s Business En­ter­prise by the Women’s Pres­i­dents Ed­u­ca­tional Or­ga­ni­za­tion-DC, a re­gional cer­ti­fy­ing part­ner of the Women’s Business En­ter­prise Na­tional Coun­cil.

The na­tional coun­cil’s cer­ti­fi­ca­tion process is de­signed to con­firm that the business is at least 51 per­cent owned, op­er­ated and con­trolled by a woman or women, ac­cord­ing to a press re­lease. The ac­count­ing firm join’s 11,500 other cer­ti­fied women owned or con­trolled busi­nesses na­tion­wide.

“We are pleased to re­ceive this im­por­tant cer­ti­fi­ca­tion by WBENC and we are hon­ored to be a part of this great or­ga­ni­za­tion that pro­motes and fosters growth for women-owned busi­nesses,” ac­coun­tant Mary Nor­ris, a part­ner at Pe­sante Nor­ris, LLC, said in the re­lease.

Pe­sante Nor­ris has been pro­vid­ing small busi­nesses and in­di­vid­u­als with ac­count­ing ser­vices since 2002. The firm’s ser­vices in­clude pay­roll, fi­nan­cial state­ment prepa­ra­tion, Quick­books set-up and con­sult­ing, and in­come tax prepa­ra­tion.

The firm’s of­fice is lo­cated on Cen­ten­nial Street in La Plata.
