Satur­day, York in­fielder Bryan Pounds de­liv­ered with game-win­ning hits in the team’s fi­nal at-bat in both games.

With Game 1 tied at 1

in the top of the sev­enth, Pounds col­lected a two-run triple to lift York to a win.

In Game 2, Telvin Nash hit a solo homer to put York up 1-0 in the fourth. In the sixth, Zach Wil­son tied the game up at 1 for the Blue Crabs with his first homer of the sea­son. In the eighth, Pounds’ RBI sin­gle scored the even­tual win­ning run.

James Sim­mons picked up his third win of the sea­son in Game 2, al­low­ing just one run on six hits while strik­ing out seven and Michael Click got the save. Click al­lowed a one-out in­field sin­gle to Lom­bar­dozzi, then re­tired the next two hit­ters to end the game. Brian

York’s Ja­son Repko led off Game 1 with a homer off Blue Crabs pitcher Gaby Her­nan­dez.

The next hit­ter, Josh Wil­son, reached on an er­ror by Blue Crabs third base­man Eric Gar­cia. Her­nan­dez then pro­ceeded to re­tire the next 15 hit­ters, but, af­ter putting two run­ners on in the sev­enth, was re­lieved by Nav­ery Moore. Moore al­lowed Pounds’ triple that put York ahead.

Tony Pena picked up the win with two shutout in­nings in re­lief.

Thurs­day, the Blue Crabs sent 11 hit­ters to the plate in the sec­ond and scored six runs. Som­er­set, trail­ing 7-1, matched it with a six-run sev­enth and added two more in the eighth for the win.

The Blue Crabs bullpen al­lowed eight runs on eight hits in two in­nings af­ter starter Scott Sn­odgress gave up just a run on three hits over the first six.

Lom­bar­dozzi had three hits in the loss.
