In the May 18 edi­tion of the Mary­land In­de­pen­dent, the story, “Nurses as­so­ci­a­tion shows ap­pre­ci­a­tion for out­stand­ing nurses in South­ern Mary­land,” in­cor­rectly re­ported that nurses need as­so­ci­ate’s de­gree or high school diploma. What they will need is an as­so­ci­ate’s de­gree or a three year nurs­ing school diploma to move for­ward with ob­tain­ing their bach­e­lor’s de­gree.
