St. Mary’s Ryken High School will hold boys and girls basketball camps in June and July.

A girls basketball camp fea­tur­ing Ryken head girls basketball coach will be held from 9 a.m. to noon June 20 to 24. The camp is for chil­dren in fifth to ninth grades and the cost is $120.

A boys basketball camp fea­tur­ing Ryken head boys basketball coach Pat Be­han will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 27 to 30, July 11 to 14 and July 18 to 21. The cost is $175 per week.

St. Mary’s Col­lege of Mary­land will hold basketball camps this sum­mer.

The Chris Har­ney Basketball School will have its tra­di­tional two weeks of in­struc­tional day camp, July 17 to 20 and July 25 to 28, and its ses­sion of gym rats on July 29. Also, the col­lege has part­nered with the Univer­sity of Mary­land basketball pro­gram to bring a ses­sion of the Mark Tur­geon Basketball Overnight Camp to St. Mary’s City, from July 20 to 23.

The South­ern Mary­land Op­ti­mist Ju­nior Golf Cham­pi­onships will con­duct a nine-hole tour­na­ment for chil­dren 10 to 18 (based upon player’s age as of July 30, 2016) on June 9 at White Plains Golf Course. The event be­gins at 3:30 p.m. with reg­is­tra­tion at 3 p.m. Par­tic­i­pants will be fit­ted in un­til 5 p.m., so they do not need to be taken out of school.

The boy and girl win­ners in all 12- to 18-year-old di­vi­sions in each event qual­ify for the Mary­land-South Delaware Dis­trict of Op­ti­mist In­ter­na­tional Tour­na­ment to be held June 11 at Marl­ton Golf Course. Dis­trict win­ners qual­ify for the Op­ti­mist In­ter­na­tional tour­na­ment at PGA Na­tional in Palm Beach Gar­dens, Fla. in late July.
