Lester Eu­gene Pitts Jr., 42, of Hugh­esville, MD, died on June 6, 2016. Memo­rial Ser­vice will be Sun­day, June 12th at Brins­field-Echols Funeral Home.

Clifton Ver­non Graves, 49, of Leonard­town, MD, died sud­denly in Char­lotte Hall, MD.

Born Dec. 20, 1966 in La Plata, MD, he was the son of Roberta Jane Arm­strong and the late Ver­non Regi­nald Graves. Cliff, as he was af­fec­tion­ately known, worked in sev­eral dif­fer­ent oc­cu­pa­tions in­clud­ing as an En­gi­neer Tech­ni­cian but mainly as a song writer. He en­joyed fish­ing, mak­ing jew­elr y and go­ing to the beach.

In ad­di­tion to his father, he was pre­ceded in death by an in­fant brother.

In ad­di­tion to his mother and step-father Larry L. Arm­strong, Cliff is sur­vived by his daugh­ters Marissa V. Corbin and hus­band Ward, An­gel L. Graves and Jen­nifer Beers; his grand­chil­dren Warren D. Graves Corbin, Ward T. Graves Corbin, Zion E. Graves Corbin, Zay­den J. Corbin, Jay­den J. Corbin, and Jace L. Corbin; a step-son Jeremy S. Kerby; his sis­ter Tammy Jane Smith; aunts Mary Graves Still, Sandy Larson and Patsy Lawson; un­cle Dick Graves; neph­ews Joey and J.B. Graves; his for­mer wife Rhonda L. Graves.

A vis­i­ta­tion will be held on Wed­nes­day, June 8, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. with a Funeral Ser­vice at 7 p.m. at the Ray­mond Funeral Ser­vice, P.A., 5635 Wash­ing­ton Ave., La Plata, MD 20646. In­ter­ment will be pri­vate.

In lieu of flow­ers, the fam­ily is ask­ing for do­na­tions to be made to Ray­mond Funeral Ser­vice, P.A. to help with the funeral ex­penses.

Sara Jane Croft Tall­man

Sara Jane Croft Tall­man was born Jan­uary 18, 1929 in Osce­ola, Penn­syl­va­nia. She was the old­est of three chil­dren born to Eva Wykoff Croft and De­los Mar­ion Croft. Ms. Tall­man leaves be­hind her brother, John Croft, sis­ter, Mar­ion Stur­de­vant, a daugh­ter, Robin Rousseau and her hus­band Jim, a grand­son, Carl Ron­ald and wife Terri, great-grand­chil­dren, Abby and Zach; a grand­daugh­ter, Christy Jen­nings and hus­band Jor­dan, great grand­chil­dren, Nolan and De­laney, her son, Ni­cholas and wife Jen­nifer, and grand­daugh­ter, Kathryn. She leaves a fam­ily and ex­tended fam­ily that will love and cher­ish her mem­o­ries and her spunky spirit. Any­one wish­ing to do­nate in her honor may do so to the USO, www.uso. org/Do­nate, as she was a staunch sup­porter of their mis­sion and ser­vices through­out her life.

Pri­vate memo­rial ser­vices will be held by the fam­ily. Ar­range­ments by Ray­mond Funeral Ser­vice in La Plata, Mary­land.
