Dealership makes Spec. Olympic Torch Run contribution
Waldorf Toyota made a $2,000 contribution to the Charles County Sherriff’s Office in support of the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics June 9 to benefit Special Olympics Maryland.
The dealership’s contribution was in honor of 9-yearold Anthony “Stormie” Zanfordino, who participated in the Torch Run and ended it with a “Superman” pose.
Employees of Waldorf Toyota were given 2016 Torch Run T-shirts and hats to wear to work that day and posed for a photo at the time of the event, holding the Superman pose in honor of Stormie.
Special Olympics Maryland offers children and adults with intellectual disabilities year-round training and competition in 30 Olympic-style summer and winter sports.
