King, Price rec­og­nized as Who’s Who hon­orees

Samiya King of Bryans Road and Tyler Price of La Plata were in­ducted April 15 into the Who’s Who Among Stu­dents in Amer­i­can Uni­ver­si­ties & Col­leges, a na­tional hon­ors pro­gram. King and Price are stu­dents at Steven­son Uni­ver­sity.

To be in­ducted to this pro­gram, stu­dents must be a ju­nior or se­nior, pos­sess an out­stand­ing grade point av­er­age, be an ac­tive mem­ber on campus, and serve in the com­mu­nity. Each stu­dent was nom­i­nated by a fac­ulty or staff mem­ber of Steven­son.

Cole­man to com­pete in na­tional rugby cham­pi­onship tour­na­ment

and Bria But­ler of White Plains re­ceived Duke of Ed­in­burgh awards April 21 at a cer­e­mony at McDaniel Col­lege. The Duke of Ed­in­burgh awards are given to those stu­dents who com­pleted a self-devel­op­ment pro­gram ded­i­cated to achieve­ment in com­mu­nity ser­vice, phys­i­cal fit­ness, spe­cial skills and ad­ven­tur­ous jour­ney. The pro­gram was founded in 1956 by Bri­tain’s Prince Philip, Duke of Ed­in­burgh.

Kitts, a se­nior, earned a gold award. But­ler, a se­nior, earned a gold award.

Co­la­ciello re­ceives schol­ar­ship, in­ducted into honor so­ci­ety

schol­ar­ship is awarded to a ju­nior or se­nior ac­count­ing ma­jor who is nom­i­nated by a pro­fes­sional mem­ber of the IMA. The Mid At­lantic Coun­cil se­lects the re­cip­i­ents based on their aca­demic and lead­er­ship ex­pe­ri­ence.

The IMA Ac­count­ing Honor So­ci­ety rec­og­nizes and hon­ors aca­demic achieve­ment, pro­vides an alumni net­work, and ad­vances the ac­count­ing pro­fes­sion. Ju­niors or se­niors ma­jor­ing in ac­count­ing, fi­nance, or in­for­ma­tion tech­nol­ogy with a grade point av­er­age of 3.0 may be­come mem­bers.

Olsen rec­og­nized at ROTC Pres­i­dent’s Re­view at McDaniel Col­lege

Madri­gal Singers dur­ing “An Evening of Madri­gals” in Baker Chapel at McDaniel Col­lege in West­min­ster. Steins­berger is a ju­nior at McDaniel.

The Madri­gal Singers are the premier vo­cal ensem­ble at McDaniel Col­lege. The group per­forms a cap­pella in ad­di­tion to Re­nais­sance pieces, con­tem­po­rary jazz vo­cal mu­sic and other se­lec­tions. The con­cert, which cel­e­brated spring­time, in­cluded a wide va­ri­ety of world mu­sic and vo­cal jazz.

Ogun­niyi in­ducted into Na­tional English Honor So­ci­ety
