Wal­dorf’s Press­wala named fran­chise’s ‘Mar­keter of the Year’

Wal­dorf Bos­ton’s Res­tau­rant & Sports Bar owner Pank Press­wala re­cently re­ceived the fran­chise’s Mar­keter of the Year Award at the Bos­ton Pizza & Bos­ton’s 2016 Fran­chisee Con­fer­ence in Toronto. He was also in­ducted into The Pres­i­dent’s Club.

Press­wala and two staff mem­bers, gen­eral man­ager Dave Wi­de­nor and mar­ket­ing man­ager Vic­to­ria Olek­sak, were rec­og­nized for their plan­ning and ex­e­cut­ing of all Bos­ton’s na­tional pro­mo­tions, as well as de­vel­op­ing lo­cal store mar­ket­ing pro­grams that earned pos­i­tive re­sults over the year.

“Bos­ton’s in Wal­dorf has con­tin­u­ally pushed the en­ve­lope of con­nect­ing with their com­mu­nity,” Brad Bevill, vice pres­i­dent of mar­ket­ing at Bos­ton’s U.S. head­quar­ters in Dal­las, said in a press re­lease. “Whether it be one of sev­eral fundrais­ers they have hosted or in­no­va­tive pro­grams like rein­tro­duc­ing our heart-shaped piz­zas as a Mother’s Day spe­cial, Pank and his team are lead­ers in our or­ga­ni­za­tion.”

Bos­ton Pizza In­ter­na­tional’s Pres­i­dent’s Club rec­og­nizes su­pe­rior fran­chisees for over­all per­for­mance, ac­com­plish­ments and sus­tained growth. In­ductees are also eval­u­ated based on the cal­iber of man­age­ment abil­i­ties and prac­tices.

“Be­ing rec­og­nized as the Mar­keter of the Year and in­ductee into The Pres­i­dent’s Club val­i­dates all of the hard work my team and I have put forth over the last 12 months,” Press­wala said in the re­lease. “Our com­mit­ment to pro­vid­ing an ex­cep­tional res­tau­rant ex­pe­ri­ence is con­ta­gious and is ex­em­pli­fied through ev­ery sin­gle one of my staff mem­bers work­ing at the Wal­dorf lo­ca­tion.”

Over the last seven years, the res­tau­rant has do­nated over $50,000 to a num­ber of char­i­ties and were also the re­cip­i­ent of Bos­ton’s “Big Heart” Award in pre­vi­ous years.
