South­ern Mary­land Mis­sion of Mercy needs vol­un­teers for their den­tal clinic to be held 6 a.m.-4 p.m. July 29-30 at North Point High School, 2500 Davis Road, Wal­dorf. Mis­sion of Mercy is a free adult den­tal clinic pro­vided by vol­un­teer den­tal pro­fes­sion­als and vol­un­teer staff. Vol­un­teer den­tal pro­fes­sion­als (den­tists, hy­gien­ists, and den­tal as­sis­tants) are needed. Vol­un­teers also needed in ar­eas of se­cu­rity, park­ing, vol­un­teer and pa­tient reg­is­tra­tion, meals, es­cort­ing pa­tients through­out the clinic and more. His­toric Port Tobacco One-Room School House will be open for tours noon-4 p.m. Satur­days. The school house is lo­cated at 7215 Chapel Point Road, Port Tobacco. A mem­ber of the Charles County Re­tired School Per­son­nel As­so­ci­a­tion will be on site to an­swer ques­tions about the school use over the last 100 years. Ad­mis­sion is free. Sum­merseat Farm will cel­e­brate Indy’s first birth­day 11 a.m.-3 p.m. July 3 at the farm, 26655 Three Notch Road, Mechanicsville. Indy is the baby buf­falo at the farm that was or­phaned at three days old and bot­tle fed by an­i­mal feed­ing vol­un­teers. Manor house and grounds will be open to pub­lic.
