Southern Maryland Mission of Mercy needs volunteers for their dental clinic to be held 6 a.m.-4 p.m. July 29-30 at North Point High School, 2500 Davis Road, Waldorf. Mission of Mercy is a free adult dental clinic provided by volunteer dental professionals and volunteer staff. Volunteer dental professionals (dentists, hygienists, and dental assistants) are needed. Volunteers also needed in areas of security, parking, volunteer and patient registration, meals, escorting patients throughout the clinic and more. Historic Port Tobacco One-Room School House will be open for tours noon-4 p.m. Saturdays. The school house is located at 7215 Chapel Point Road, Port Tobacco. A member of the Charles County Retired School Personnel Association will be on site to answer questions about the school use over the last 100 years. Admission is free. Donations accepted. Accokeek Foundation at Piscataway Park will hold H2oooh! American Water Use Revealed exhibit 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturdays and noon-4 p.m. Sundays through Aug. 7 at National Colonial Farm, 3400 Bryan Point Road, Accokeek. Explore the secret life of water in this eye-opening exhibit and then travel back in time to take a look at how the colonials lived with 20 times less of this precious resource. Free. Summerseat Farm will celebrate Indy’s first birthday 11 a.m.-3 p.m. July 3 at the farm, 26655 Three Notch Road, Mechanicsville. Indy is the baby buffalo at the farm that was orphaned at three days old and bottle fed by animal feeding volunteers. Manor house and grounds will be open to public.
