Of­fi­cer chases down bur­glary sus­pect

On July 22 at 1:52 a.m., of­fi­cers re­sponded to the Toys-R-Us in Wal­dorf for the re­port of an in­tru­sion alarm. When the first of­fi­cer ar­rived, he ob­served the front door was open. While inside check­ing, the of­fi­cer ob­served the sus­pect, who was not wear­ing a shirt but had on gloves and pants, hid­ing be­hind a shelf in the rear of the store. The sus­pect fled out of the back doors and the of­fi­cer pur­sued him on foot. The sus­pect con­tin­ued to a wooded area where he fell and was sub­se­quently ap­pre­hended. A to­tal of 24 PlayS­ta­tion 3 and PlayS­ta­tion 4 video games were re­cov­ered. Ka­reem Wali Bright, 20, of Wal­dorf was charged with bur­glary and theft. Of­fi­cer A. Bring­ley made the ar­rest.
