Man arrested for triple-stabbing
Charged with attempted murder after reportedly attacking relatives
A man was arrested on Sunday night after allegedly stabbing several of his family members inside a vehicle, injuring three men who were later airlifted to a hospital, police said.
Marcus Marques Allen, 25, of Rochester, N.Y. has been charged with three counts of attempted murder for the reported triple-stabbing. The victims, ages 16, 19 and 44, do not appear to have sustained life-threatening injuries, and are said to be related to the suspect.
Around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, Charles County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 4300 block of Renner Road in Waldorf for the report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers found the 19-yearold victim laying in the middle of the road, suffering from a stab wound to his neck, police say. Further down the road, they found a 16-year-old and a 44-year-old who had also been stabbed.
All three were taken to the hospital by helicopter.
After speaking with witnesses, officers determined that the suspect had been inside a vehicle with four other males when he suddenly pulled out a knife and began stabbing them, authorities say. One was able to escape without harm.
The suspect then entered the driver’s seat of the vehicle and fled the scene, driving to a convenience store in Brandywine before calling 911. He was apprehended shortly after.
Police say the motive behind the attack is still unclear.
A preliminary hearing date is pending.
