Hutchin­son named to dean’s list at Dean Col­lege

Laura Hutchin­son of Me­chan­icsville was named to the dean’s list at Dean Col­lege for the spring 2016 se­mes­ter.

Sim­mons grad­u­ates from Lin­coln Me­mo­rial Univer­sity

Gerel Sim­mons of Ac­co­keek grad­u­ated from Lin­coln Me­mo­rial Univer­sity on May 7. Sim­mons earned a bach­e­lor of sci­ence in crim­i­nol­ogy and crim­i­nal jus­tice and was rec­og­nized dur­ing spring 2016 com­mence­ment ex­er­cises in Tex Turner Arena.

Poullard named to pres­i­dent’s honor list at McNeese State

Kai Matthew Poullard of Wal­dorf was named to the pres­i­dent’s honor list at McNeese State Univer­sity for the spring 2016 se­mes­ter. To be on the pres­i­dent’s honor list, an un­der­grad­u­ate stu­dent must earn at least a 3.5 grade point av­er­age or bet­ter while car­ry­ing at least 15 se­mes­ter hours. A se­nior el­i­gi­ble for grad­u­a­tion but car­ry­ing less than 15 hours is also pro­vided that stu­dent was on the pres­i­dent’s honor list the pre­vi­ous se­mes­ter.

Ba­con named to dean’s list at El­iz­a­beth­town Col­lege

Han­nah Ba­con of Hugh­esville was named to the dean’s list at El­iz­a­beth­town Col­lege for the spring 2016 se­mes­ter. Ba­con is a se­nior health and oc­cu­pa­tion ma­jor.

Stu­dents on the dean’s list are full­time un­der­grad­u­ate stu­dents who earn a se­mes­ter grade point av­er­age of 3.60 or bet­ter in 14 or more credit hours, of which at least 12 cred­its are let­ter-graded course work.

Co­la­ciello named to dean’s list at King’s Col­lege

Maria Co­la­ciello of Wal­dorf was named to the dean’s list at King’s Col­lege for the spring 2016 se­mes­ter.

Davis named to dean’s list at Bay­lor

Alexis Sher­rette Davis of Wal­dorf was named to the dean’s list at Bay­lor Univer­sity for the spring 2016 se­mes­ter. Davis is a stu­dent at Rob­bins Col­lege of Health and Hu­man Sciences.

To be named to the dean’s list, a stu­dent must be an un­der­grad­u­ate with a min­i­mum grade-point av­er­age of 3.7, while en­rolled in a min­i­mum of 12 se­mes­ter hours.

Adams, Kha­laifeh grad­u­ate from Mary Bald­win Col­lege

Imani E.J. Adams of White Plains and Sapreen Wael Kha­laifeh of Wal­dorf grad­u­ated May 22 with a bach­e­lor of arts de­gree from Mary Bald­win Col­lege.

Jamieson, But­ler grad­u­ate from McDaniel Col­lege

Ch­es­ney Ahre­anna Jamieson of Port To­bacco and Bria C. But­ler of White Plains grad­u­ated May 21 from McDaniel Col­lege.

Jamieson grad­u­ated with a bach­e­lor of arts in psy­chol­ogy.

But­ler grad­u­ated summa cum laude with a bach­e­lor of arts in psy­chol­ogy.

Aca­demic hon­ors given at grad­u­a­tion in­clude summa cum laude for a cu­mu­la­tive grade point av­er­age of 3.9 or higher, magna cum laude for a cu­mu­la­tive grade point av­er­age of 3.70 to 3.89 and cum laude for a cu­mu­la­tive grade point av­er­age of 3.50 to 3.69.

Keller named to dean’s list at Emory & Henry Col­lege

John Keller of Wal­dorf was named to the dean’s list at Emory & Henry Col­lege for the spring 2016 se­mes­ter. To qual­ify for the dean’s list, a stu­dent must achieve at least a 3.6 (A-mi­nus) grade-point av­er­age and must com­plete at least 12 credit hours of course work dur­ing the se­mes­ter.
