VVT pro­to­types amp, Yel­lowTieGuy records

VVT Am­pli­fiers is pro­to­typ­ing a new 80-watt combo gui­tar am­pli­fier and a 150-watt head pre-am­pli­fier, ac­cord­ing to a press re­lease.

The Wal­dorf-based am­pli­fier builder re­cently re­turned from an in­dus­try event held in Wy­omiss­ing, Pa., called the Gui­tar and Bass Expo, where is un­veiled the pro­to­type and demon­strated its line of gui­tar am­pli­fiers.

In re­lated news, VVT’s Danny Hill and his band Yel­lowTieGuy just re­ceived the masters for its new al­bum “Play On Words,” fea­tur­ing art­work by comic artist Joan Cooke. The tracks were laid down and mixed at Belly Acres stu­dio in Pis­gah. The record­ings were mas­tered by Drew Mazurek in Owings Mills.

Yel­lowTieGuy did a re­lease show for its An­napo­lis fan base at Metropoli­tan Kitchen and Lounge, and are look­ing to sched­ule a South­ern Mar yland re­lease show in the near fu­ture. The al­bum will be avail­able through Ap­ple’s iTunes and Ama­zon, as well as other on­line stores, on Black Fri­day, Nov. 25.
