VVT prototypes amp, YellowTieGuy records
VVT Amplifiers is prototyping a new 80-watt combo guitar amplifier and a 150-watt head pre-amplifier, according to a press release.
The Waldorf-based amplifier builder recently returned from an industry event held in Wyomissing, Pa., called the Guitar and Bass Expo, where is unveiled the prototype and demonstrated its line of guitar amplifiers.
In related news, VVT’s Danny Hill and his band YellowTieGuy just received the masters for its new album “Play On Words,” featuring artwork by comic artist Joan Cooke. The tracks were laid down and mixed at Belly Acres studio in Pisgah. The recordings were mastered by Drew Mazurek in Owings Mills.
YellowTieGuy did a release show for its Annapolis fan base at Metropolitan Kitchen and Lounge, and are looking to schedule a Southern Mar yland release show in the near future. The album will be available through Apple’s iTunes and Amazon, as well as other online stores, on Black Friday, Nov. 25.
