Safe boat­ing course to be of­fered

The Patux­ent River Sail and Power Squadron is of­fer­ing the Mary­land Safe Boat­ing Course next month. The two ses­sions are 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Satur­day, Sept. 10, and 9 a.m.-noon Satur­day, Sept. 24, for wrap-up, re­view and test. This course is Na­tional As­so­ci­a­tion of State Boat­ing Law Ad­min­is­tra­tors (NASBLA) ap­proved, and See NEWS Page A4

pro­vides the Mary­land Boat­ing Safety Cer­ti­fi­ca­tion Card re­quired to be car­ried for any­one born af­ter July 1, 1972, and are op­er­at­ing any mo­tor­ized wa­ter ves­sel in Mary­land. All states rec­og­nize this boat­ing ed­u­ca­tion card. The course will be taught at the Naval Air Mu­seum, 22156 Three Notch Road, Lex­ing­ton Park.
