Mary­land Cham­ber hosts con­fer­ence in Cam­bridge

The Mary­land Cham­ber of Com­merce’s Busi­ness Pol­icy & Com­pet­i­tive­ness Con­fer­ence is sched­uled for Sept. 15-16 at the Hy­att Re­gency Ch­e­sa­peake Bay Golf Re­sort, Spa and Ma­rina in Cam­bridge.

Busi­ness, pol­icy and aca­demic lead­ers from around the state are ex­pected to at­tend the con­fer­ence to dis­cuss busi­ness growth and pub­lic pol­icy, ac­cord­ing to a press re­lease.

This year’s con­fer­ence will in­clude:

• A panel of county com­mis­sion­ers dis­cussing eco­nomic de­vel­op­ment ac­tiv­i­ties and chal­lenges, mod­er­ated by Com­merce Sec­re­tary Mike Gill;

• Trade­point At­lantic (for­merly Spar­rows Point) pre­sen­ta­tion, high­light­ing cur­rent and fu­ture op­por­tu­ni­ties;

• Em­ploy­ment and en­vi­ron­men­tal pol­icy ses­sions;

• A sen­a­to­rial can­di­date fo­rum to hear from the can­di­dates vy­ing for Sen. Bar­bara Mikul­ski’s seat.
