Thankful there are still honest people

On Wednesday, Aug. 17, I left my billfold and some other items in a shopping cart at the BJ’s Wholesale Club in Waldorf. After a thorough search of the carts, and some trash cans, by myself and a BJ’s employee, I resigned myself to the fact that my wallet and everything else was gone. I was astonished when I opened my mail on Tuesday, Aug. 23, and found not only my billfold but everything else I had lost — even my cash, down to the penny.

I do not know who anonymously mailed my things back to me but I am extremely grateful and will do as requested in the note that was included, I will keep this kind, honest person in my daily prayers. I hope that person sees this letter since it is the only way I can say, “Thank you. You have proven there are still good, honest people in the world. May God bless you, always.” Rebecca Morris, La Plata
