Nominations needed for philanthropy awards
The Community Foundation of Southern Maryland is requesting nominations for businesses who give back in extraordinary ways to be inducted into the organization’s Philanthropy Hall of Fame, according to a press release.
The foundation is gearing up for its Annual Philanthropy Day Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 4, at the Waldorf Jaycees Community Center. This year’s theme is Celebrating Business Philanthropy in Southern Maryland.
The public is encouraged to join the celebration. Tickets are $40 and with an RSVP by Monday, Oct. 31.
