Letter proves dangers of limited news

Maryland Independent - - Community Forum -

I would like to thank the editors for publishing the letter from Gloria Hawkins [“The difference this election will make”] on Aug. 26 in the Maryland Independent. It perfectly illustrates the need for people to expose themselves to more than one source for their news and information. Limiting oneself to one source can obviously result in becoming misinformed and lead to a prejudiced and, dare I say, racist view of the world.

It behooves people to read multiple news sources and watch multiple news outlets on television. Only then can they develop an educated opinion.

Again, thank you for a lesson in the dangers of biased journalism.
