Hu­mane So­ci­ety seeks vol­un­teer board mem­bers

The Hu­mane So­ci­ety of Charles County (HSCC) is seek­ing new mem­bers with back­grounds in com­mu­nity ser vices, fundrais­ing, project man­age­ment, fi­nance or le­gal coun­sel to join its vol­un­teer board of directors. In­ter­ested per­sons should have ex­pe­ri­ence in fundrais­ing, de­vel­op­ing busi­ness part­ner re­la­tion­ships and project man­age­ment as well as an un­der­stand­ing of non­profit busi­nesses.

Board meet­ings are held in the evening on the third Thurs­day of each month. Board mem­bers serve a two-year term and are re­quired to con­trib­ute a min­i­mum of $300 and ac­tively par­tic­i­pate in fundrais­ing ini­tia­tives.
