Hospice childrens’ camp provides healing, support
Hospice of Charles County recently held their annual Camp Sunshine event creating a fun and meaningful day for several children throughout Charles County.
Campers are children between the ages of 6-12 who have recently experienced the loss of a loved one. In addition to crafts and games, campers created a memory box for their loved one and talked about their loss in a supportive healing circle.
This year’s healing circle included special guests Bogie and Bacall, therapeutic dogs owned by Doug and Gail Manuel of Trinity Memorial Gardens. Kiwanis Club of Waldorf, Chick-fil-A, Utz and New Life Church helped make the day successful.
