will pro­vide the lat­est DC FOP off-duty guid­ance to sworn law en­force­ment of­fi­cers, fire­fight­ers and EMTs to as­sist them in to­day’s en­vi­ron­ment. Also, Can­non will brief on LEOSA to re­tired LEOs. The event is hosted by the Sta­tim An­geli So­ci­ety a po­lice/fire/EMT group con­cerned about the well-be­ing of first re­spon­ders and will be at 1:45 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Ac­tiv­ity Cen­ter, 4590 St. Joseph Way, Pom­fret. Mon­day, Oct. 24 Charles County Com­mis­sioner Amanda Ste­wart (D)

will host an Oc­to­ber town hall meet­ing 6:30 p.m. at Wal­dorf West Li­brary, 10405 O’Don­nell Place, Wal­dorf.

The Charles County His­toric Preser­va­tion Com­mis­sion

will meet 6 p.m. at the Port Tobacco Court­house to dis­cuss the plan to de­mol­ish the his­toric home of John Grinder by the Mary­land Depart­ment of Nat­u­ral Re­sources.
