One killed in Waldorf brush fire
Authorities are actively investigating a brush fire in Waldorf that killed one person late Sunday afternoon.

Around 5:02 p.m. on Sunday, members of the Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department responded to a brush fire located at 72 Garner Avenue. Firefighters extinguished the flames within five minutes, a news release states. One person was killed in the blaze, according to the report.
Fire marshals are continuing to investigate the cause and origin of the fire.
