One killed in Wal­dorf brush fire

Au­thor­i­ties are ac­tively in­ves­ti­gat­ing a brush fire in Wal­dorf that killed one per­son late Sun­day af­ter­noon.

De­tails re­main lim­ited as the in­ves­ti­ga­tion con­tin­ues, and the iden­tity of the vic­tim is pend­ing an ex­am­i­na­tion by the Of­fice of the Chief Med­i­cal Ex­am­iner in Bal­ti­more.

Around 5:02 p.m. on Sun­day, mem­bers of the Wal­dorf Vol­un­teer Fire Depart­ment re­sponded to a brush fire lo­cated at 72 Gar­ner Av­enue. Fire­fight­ers ex­tin­guished the flames within five min­utes, a news re­lease states. One per­son was killed in the blaze, ac­cord­ing to the re­port.

Fire mar­shals are con­tin­u­ing to in­ves­ti­gate the cause and ori­gin of the fire.
