House­keeper ac­cused of thefts from clients, po­lice seek­ing other vic­tims

Po­lice are con­tin­u­ing to in­ves­ti­gate a house­keeper sus­pected of mul­ti­ple thefts in the South­ern Mary­land area, and in­ves­ti­ga­tors are seek­ing ad­di­tional in­for­ma­tion from any­one who be­lieves they may have been a vic­tim.

The house­keeper, Vic­to­ria De­Marr, 52, of Ken­tucky is ac­cused of steal­ing jew­elry from her clients and pawn­ing the stolen items, ac­cord­ing to a news re­lease from the Charles County Sher­iff’s Of­fice. Po­lice re­ceived re­ports of thefts last year and ear­lier this year be­fore De­Marr fled to an­other state, though she was ap­pre­hended and ex­tra­dited back to Mary­land in Oc­to­ber.

Since her arrest, po­lice have gath­ered ad­di­tional in­for­ma­tion about other thefts De­Marr may have been in­volved with.
