University of Maryland Extension is accepting applications for the Master Gardener Basic Training Course to be held Tuesdays and Thursdays 6-9 p.m., Feb. 2-April 6, 2017, at Thomas Stone High School, 3785 Leonardtown Road, Waldorf. Priority deadline for application is Dec. 5. Course will cover topics such as botany, ecology, soil science, entomology, vegetable gardening, ornamentals and more.
