We survived Obama and will fare better with Trump

This is in response to William C. Watts’ letter published in the Maryland Independent on Jan. 4 (“He won the battle, but we’ll lose the war”), I say to Mr. Watts, “Suck it up, buttercup — your side lost.” We as Americans should now stand behind our president-elect and soonto-be President Donald Trump. If he is able to keep half his promises, he will be a great success.

You say President-elect Trump has lied, but you give no proof. Personally, I feel that President-elect Trump has shown great integrity in his picks for cabinet posts. He is keeping his promise to drain the swamp by not picking the same old tired politicians to fill these most important positions. His selection of pro-business people shows me that he wants to run the government like a smart businessman would run his company.

You, sir, should be put on the no-fly list, have your driver’s license revoked and not be allowed out of the county. Maybe you should purchase a couple boxes of Depends and take a long winter’s nap. Get over it; we survived Obama, I know we will fare better and survive Trump.
