Armed robbery suspect arrested
At 10:55 p.m. on Sept. 7, 2015, officers responded to the park- ing lot of a local restaurant in Waldorf for the report of an armed robbery. An investiga- tion revealed the victim was confronted by an unknown female suspect who placed a gun to her head and demanded money. Cash and property were surrendered and the suspect fled. During the course of the investigation, Jamilla Wil- liams, 24, of Capitol Heights was identified as being respon- sible for the robbery, and addi- tional evidence supported the identification.
On Jan. 12, 2017, Williams was arrested following a traffic stop by the Maryland State Police. Officers responded to the Glen Burnie barrack and trans- ported Williams to a sheriff’s office facility to be interviewed. Williams was charged with armed robbery, first-degree assault and theft.
