McDonald’s coffee sales benefit Spring Dell
March is National Disabilities Awareness Month and to recognize the impact people with disabilities have made in the community, three McDonald’s locations operated by the Welburn Organization will donate 50 percent of hot and iced coffee sales on Mondays to Spring Dell Center.
Funds generated from coffee sales will benefit programs dedicated to connecting people with disabilities in Charles County to the community and employment, according to a news release. Participating locations include 109 Drury Drive in La Plata (next to the Pepsi-Cola Company), 6385 Crain Highway in La Plata (Food Lion Shopping Center) and 3000 Crain Highway in Waldorf (next to Outback). Simply purchase your Monday coffee at one of these three locations, and join the movement to spread awareness about disabilities and the initiatives that transform lives locally.
Each Monday, share your purchase by posting on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using #Spring4McCafe, and you will be entered into a raffle to win gifts from McDonald’s. A new raffle winner will be selected each week in March.
The campaign is one of many held in celebration of Spring Dell Center’s 50-years supporting people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in the community. For more information on other upcoming events go to www.springdellcenter.org, or call 301-934-4561.
