SBDC helps businesses ‘Start Right for Success’
The Small Business Development Center at the College of Southern Maryland offers a number of classes and workshops to entrepreneurs, business owners and would-be owners.
One such class is the oneday “Start Right for Success” course. For those looking to start a business, the class will provide a summar y of the business information needed to get going right now. Evaluate the business concept and determine the market potential of products and services, and gain an understanding of potential customers. The class will give guidance on identifying the best type of business organization, determining record keeping needs and how to create a financial plan. Students will also learn to use the SBDC’s confidential one-on-one counseling to best advantage.
The class costs $13 for tuition and $42 for fees. It will be held 10 a.m. to noon, Wednesday, March 15, at the Prince Frederick Campus and 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, at the La Plata Campus. For more information and to register, go to http://marylandsbdc.org/ southern/training.php.
