Hobby Lobby opens in St. Mary’s on Mon­day

Hobby Lobby will open its new store in the Lau­rel Glen shop­ping cen­ter in California on Mon­day, April 17. A rib­bon-cut­ting cer­e­mony and of­fi­cial grand open­ing will start at 9 a.m.

The California store is Hobby Lobby’s fifth lo­ca­tion in Mar yland. Joshua Gehringer is the store man­ager of the 57,000-square-foot re­tail fa­cil­ity at Three Notch Road and Old Rolling Road.

“We of­fer a wide and ever-chang­ing va­ri­ety of craft and home decor prod­ucts in­clud­ing many ex­clu­sive Hobby Lobby brands,” said John Schu­macher, as­sis­tant vice pres­i­dent of ad­ver­tis­ing for Hobby Lobby. “First-time shop­pers in California will be pleas­antly sur­prised at the large store size and the ex­cep­tional ser­vice pro­vided by our trained as­so­ciates.”

Hobby Lobby has 750 stores across the na­tion. Each store of­fers more than 70,000 craft­ing and home decor prod­ucts in­clud­ing flo­ral, fab­ric, nee­dle art, cus­tom fram­ing, bas­kets, home ac­cents, wear­able art, arts and crafts, jew­elry mak­ing, scrap­book­ing and pa­per craft­ing sup­plies. It is the na­tion’s largest pri­vately owned arts and crafts re­tailer.
