The Charles County NAACP has an open door pol­icy for guest speak­ers who would like to talk about spe­cific is­sues around the county and how they af­fect the county’s ci­ti­zenry.

On Tues­day, Charles County Com­mis­sion­ers’ Pres­i­dent Peter Mur­phy (D) showed up to talk about the things the board of com­mis­sion­ers have ac­com­plished over the first two years they’ve been in of­fice.

Mur­phy brought up things like the drug take back pro­gram started at the tail end of last year, the new health clinic the county opened up
